During the lasts ’70s and’80s, in global culture, tattooing became introduced to the general public all over the world. Techiques changed too, the engeegnering to prepare needles, more higienic considerations and the willing for young generations to find solutions to express their rebeness allowed this process.
One of the easiest way to push the tattoos in society in a new form was refreshing the traditionals. The more fresh concept and layout was founded both in re-drawing the existant subjects at that time simple and rude in more refined, anriched style. The color scheme changed a lot, from a relative minimal palette (at that time infact tattooists used only 4 colors) to a descreet important tones gradiations and the use of total new colors as purple, pinks, oranges and on…
This new form of development did diffused greatly in almost two decades. Now the artists did can communicate and changing informations, drawings and opened a total new style.
Since the first sketches done with pencil on paper, i proceeded refining any drawing step by step resolving both layouts and symbolic aims and order. Working on with pen and Indian Ink for lines and in some cases packing parts, then finishing each drawing using ecoline and brushes of various sizes.
Copies are realized in normal A3 sheet size, the original ones where scanned at 2400 dpi and printed with high-tech printer on very good quality paper 180gr.
